Drone-Based Aerial Surveying

The use of remotely piloted aircraft, commonly known as drones, allows us to position sensors strategically and efficiently.

Aerial surveying with drones

The range of sensors and workflows available in this field is as diverse as the needs of each client and project. At S4M, we are fully equipped to leverage these technologies to their fullest potential, delivering maximum value to our clients.

ACCURACY AND DETAIL

Capture accurate information on topography, structures, vegetation, and other relevant assets.

STRATEGIC POSITIONING

Gain unique perspectives and viewing angles that are impossible to achieve with traditional methods.

SPEED AND EFFICIENCY

Capture large amounts of data in a short period of time, streamlining workflows and increasing efficiency.

SAFETY AND FLEXIBILITY

We adapt each operation to the specific requirements of the project, adjusting the drone's altitude, speed, and flight path accordingly.

Applications

TOPOGRAPHY AND MAPPING

Thanks to their long range and versatility, they enable us to map large areas of land with high resolution and accuracy at a reduced cost. Equipped with photogrammetric cameras or LiDAR sensors, they can capture the most relevant details for each application.

Cadastral updates, linear infrastructure monitoring, and quarry volume measurements are now routine tasks for this type of technology.

INDUSTRIAL INSPECTIONS

The main advantages of using drones for industrial inspections are the ability to access elevated or hard-to-reach areas without the need for scaffolding or complex lifting equipment, while also minimizing the risk of accidents. We can access roofs, towers, and other elevated structures to visually inspect installed components for cracks, rust, corrosion, and other defects. By using thermal imaging cameras, we can also detect insulation issues, moisture intrusion, and other hidden problems.

CULTURAL HERITAGE AND PRESERVATION

Unmanned aircraft enable the capture of aerial images and videos of historic buildings, monuments, and archaeological sites, as well as the creation of highly accurate 3D models that are invaluable for research, analysis, conservation, and public dissemination purposes.
